BRAND DEVELOPMENT: University of Glasgow

‘Dialogues’ is an initiative by the University to build links between themselves and Scottish SMEs and part of our brief was to ensure that the University was seen as ‘approachable’ by the target sector.

Key to this was building a set of components that demonstrated this ‘approachability’ and an understanding of SME’s needs. To visually capture this our brand marque illustrates this two way flow and neatly links Glasgow University by highlighting GU in the brand name.

Universities have recognised the need to develop sustainable business-led identities for their business activities in order to sustain and grow revenue. The University of Glasgow’s Research and Enterprise Department understood this need to effectively communicate its ‘offer’ - bridging the gap between academic excellence and commercial opportunities - through the development of a distinctive identity and its onward communications.
