GLASGOW - THE GROWTH OF A CITY

Background
In 1617 the Scots pioneered the legal framework that detailed property entitlement to landowners. Today this legislation is looked after by the Register of Scotland, a government body.

The Register of Scotland commissioned this 14 minute 'film' to mark 2009 - the 'Year of Homecoming' when people of Scottish ancestry returned home to celebrate their 'roots'.

Glasgow was the main city where Scots left from the settle throughout therest of the world.

Our production traces the origins of Glasgow - from the Ice-age to the Commonwealth Games coming to the City in 2014.

The story of the 'land beneath your feet' was designed as an 'immersive' experience for the viewer where the film is projected on to a 10 foot square screen on the floor in a 'black' space and viewed from an elevated viewing platform. It is accompanied by full stereo surround sound in the commentary, music and sound effects.
